Austin Eguavoen To Remain Super Eagles Coach - NFF

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) The NFF says caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen will continue in his role. Signed by NFF Director of Publicity Ademola Olajire said former national team player and former Under-20 national team coach Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed as his assistant. 


Amuneke was one of the leading Nigerian players to win the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations, scoring both goals in the final against Zambia in Tunis, Tunisia. 


 He also scored two goals that helped Nigeria win the Olympic football title for the first time in 1996, and two goals at the 1994 World Cup in the United States. As a coach, he led Tanzania to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. Other victims of the NFF changes include Salisu Yusuf as second assistant coach, Joseph Yobo - third assistant coach, and Aloysius Agu - goalkeeping coach.
