The British Embassy In Nigeria Has launched A Competition To Mark International Women's Day.

For March of this year, and the 70th anniversary of the reign of the Queen of England. The board added that the winner will be able to work with a senior British diplomat or university in Nigeria for one day and understand the basics of governance. 


The theme for this year's International Women's Day is "Equality Today for a Sustainable Future." According to the British Embassy, the competition is designed to encourage young women to become leaders and activists. Commenting on the competition, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, expressed her delight at the launch of the competition in one day's office. promoting equality between men and women and helping women is one of our top priorities in the office. 


She added that the office is committed to empowering young women across Nigeria to contribute to global issues that will help build a sustainable future for all. Ms. Laing also called on girls between the ages of 18 and 23 to take part in the competition and said they hope to hear their positive ideas that will have an impact on the world. 


Candidates are expected to make a one-minute video explaining “what positive changes they would like to see in the fight against climate change and how they can contribute. The video will then be posted on social media and will close on February 27.
