The Murder Of An Islamic Leader By Suspected Gunmen In Delta State


The secretary of Delta State Council for Islamic Affairs, Musa Ugasa was reportedly shot by suspected gunmen. 

He was reportedly murdered while on his way back from a mosque where he went for evening prayers at Uloho Avenue, Ughelli, Delta state.

This is confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the council, Issa Edogamhe, who confirmed his assassination, said: “He was attacked on his way from the nearby mosque where he went to offer his evening (Ishai prayers). He was assassinated along Uloho Avenue, Ughelli.”

He was a known Islamic leader of the state and former All Progressive Congress, APC, presidential aspirant.  

People around the area have described it painful and a great lost, Also Mumakai-Unagha, described the assassination of Musa as callous.

The family of the deceased have shown a great pain as people gathered for condolences.
